NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited from Women candidates only for TWO (one for PI & another for Co-PI) positions of Junior Research Fellow and ONE field assistant to work in the DBT Major Research Project entitled “Molecular and Pattern Identification of Indian Mariculture fauna using DNA Barcoding and Soft Computing Techniques”.
1. Qualifications for PI’s Project Fellow:
Passed MCA/M.Sc. (Computer Science)/M.Tech(CSE/IT) with minimum 55%
marks.
Experience in MATLAB programming is preferred.
2. Qualifications for Co-PI’s Project Fellow:
I Class Masters in zoology/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences
Desirable:
i. Wet lab techniques viz: Genomic DNA isolation, Gene amplification, DNA Barcoding, sequencing, Molecular Phylogenetic analysis.
ii. Dry lab techniques/ tools pertaining to Gene/Protein sequence analysis, sequencing, Clustering Designing of primers, DNA Barcoding Molecular phylogenetic analysis.
iii. Efficient computational communicational skills. (M.Sc., Students awaiting results may also apply)
Fellowship: Rs.25,000+ Rs.5000 HRA pm
Duration: 3 years.
3. Qualifications for Field Assistant:
Any Graduate Degree with Computer Knowledge. (Men is also eligible)
Salary: Rs. 8,000/- pm
Duration: 3 years.
The position is purely temporary for the duration of project of 3 Years.
